Rinascimento. Il Tempo Rinnovato La Nascita della Finanza

Abstract

Finance was born from money, intended as a “bargaining chip”; with finance grew all those instruments to finance trade and production of goods and services, by changing the economic and social structure. But the merchant-bankers accused of usury by Church sought to overcome this sinfulness with donations to charities and by commissioning artworks, which gave luster to the donor family.  But the beauty produced during the Renaissance was not only daughter of money but also daughter and mother of a thought expression of a totally new culture that changed world view emphasizing the human being at the Centre and making it the measure of all things. A culture that has given us in every area, works that still leave us astounded and make us move by defining the infinite spaces of freedom.

Fu dal denaro inteso come “merce di scambio” che nacque la finanza e con essa si svilupparono tutti quegli strumenti atti a finanziare commerci e produzione di beni e servizi  modificando la struttura economica e sociale. Ma i mercanti-banchieri tacciati d’usura  dalla Chiesa cercarono di superare tale condizione di peccato  con elargizioni ad opere di carità e commissionando opere d’arte che davano lustro anche alla Famiglia del donatore.  Ma la bellezza prodotta nel Rinascimento non fu certo figlia solo del denaro  ma anche figlia e madre di un pensiero espressione di una cultura totalmente rinnovata che cambiò la visione del mondo ponendone l’uomo al centro e rendendolo misura di tutte le cose. Una cultura che ci ha regalato in ogni ambito, opere che ancor oggi ci lasciano pieni  di stupore  e ci fanno commuovere  definendo infiniti spazi di libertà.
